Every creative journey begins with a small step, and today feels like one of those moments worth remembering.

After many conversations, ideas scribbled on scraps of paper, and dreams about the things we want to create, Matt and I have officially opened our Etsy shop, The Forest’s Collective. It may seem like a small thing to some, but to us it feels like the beginning of something meaningful.

Our business, The Forest’s Forge & Brew, is a place where our different passions come together. Matt enjoys working with wood and building things by hand, shaping practical pieces that carry the quiet strength of the forest. I spend my time exploring creativity in other ways…through photography, art in its vast and varying ways, and the small rituals of everyday life that bring beauty and intention into a home and heart.

Opening this shop feels like opening the door to a workshop we’ve always imagined. A place where creativity is guided by curiosity, nature, and the simple joy of making something with care.

Right now it is only the beginning. There are still many ideas waiting to be brought to life. We will offer handcrafted pieces, photography prints, artwork, and perhaps even herbal blends inspired by the forest and the changing seasons. Down the road a small way, we will also offer you tea and coffee through our Sun & Moon Beverage Co.

The most exciting part of starting something new is not knowing exactly where it will lead. There is a quiet thrill in those first steps, when possibilities are wide open and the path is still being discovered.

For now, we are simply grateful to begin.

And if you happen to be reading this while walking alongside us on this journey, thank you for being here at the very start.

— Rachel & Matt
